Headquarters and Key UK Locations

We're based in three key UK locations:

• GCHQ Cheltenham (two sites Benhall and Oakley)
• GCHQ Bude (Satellite ground station)
• GCHQ Scarborough (HF collection facility)

Cornwall and Yorkshire are relatively small operations. Most people, over 5,000 of them, work at our two locations in Cheltenham.

In 2004 we moved our Cheltenham headquarters to a purpose built development at Benhall. Locally known as the 'doughnut' because of its unique shape, the accommodation provides a first-class working environment. And we've even taken care of down-time with a gym and choice of cafeterias and restaurants. Oakley, as one of our original Cheltenham locations, has been retained for the foreseeable future. There are good transport links between the two sites.

If applying to a position in Cheltenham it is important to realise that you may be required to work at either site. However, you can make use of all facilities available.
