GCHQ Graduate IT, Technical and Language Jobs

Graduate IT Jobs

While MI5 and MI6 have a focus on 'human intelligence' GCHQ's expertise lies in the electronic and digital world - or 'signals intelligence' as its known. At the core of this lies one of the world's most powerful computing environments, helping us monitor and gather electronic signals from around the world which - when converted into intelligence material - helps to inform national security, military operations and law enforcement activities.

GCHQ also has a role to play in protecting the Government's IT infrastructure from malicious hackers and disruption. This specialist work is carried out by CESG, - the UK's National Technical Authority for Information Assurance. Increasingly, as internet crime has become the fastest growing threat - in terms of hacking, information flow and sharing - part of our brief is to help ensure that the UK can live and work on-line with confidence.

We recruit into the following IT and Technical roles at Graduate level:

  • Internet Operations
  • Information & Communications Technology (ICTR) Research
  • Information Assurance
  • IT Infrastructure Engineering
  • IT Service Management
