Service Desk Analyst (Graduate)

The opportunities for career development were a massive bonus too. The recruitment process took a few months from application to interview, but it was quite clear and I had regular contact with the recruitment team. I was made to feel very welcome when I started, and I found all of my colleagues and management to be really approachable. The atmosphere in here is unlike anywhere else I’ve worked, for obvious reasons. This isn’t a bad thing though, and I’ve always felt comfortable here. So in my job, I work with a vast range of systems, helping service users with any challenges that they might have with their IT. Because of that my skills have developed enormously. On-the-job training is constant in my role. Colleagues and managers are my main point of support, and they’ve given me chance to take part several training courses. It’s been extremely beneficial. The largest challenge I face is managing time and balancing priorities. The work I do enables others to ensure the day-to-day security of the UK, which adds to the pressure. But that’s what makes it all so rewarding. The range and impact of what happens inside the building is pretty amazing, and it’s great to work with and alongside people who have such a wide variety of skills, backgrounds and expertise.
