I did a degree in Maths and Physics and I always thought I’d go on to study for a PhD. But after going on the Cyber Insights Summer School, I knew I wanted to develop a career at GCHQ. It just felt like the right thing to do. Now I’m in my role, it’s so much more varied than I ever expected. I essentially write code to help us solve complex problems, but as the problems evolve, so does my job! There’s a real buzz when everyone is working together to find a solution. And it’s such an inspiration to work alongside such exceptional people.
